The list that comes with every range course. Round counts and magazine counts vary — each course page carries its own.
Item one is not a joke. Every gear list Guardienne publishes opens with “an open mind,” above the eye protection and the ammunition.
These apply to every course we run. None of them are new information on the day.
Real offerings with no ticket link — these are arranged directly with us, built around what you actually need.
I don't own a firearm. Can I still take a class?
Yes, and we would rather you didn't rush out and buy one. We do not recommend purchasing a firearm solely to take a course. Add Equipment Rental at checkout — it includes magazines, and you bring 50 rounds of factory 9mm FMJ. 115 grain is usually the cheapest; a higher grain is fine too.
Is The Basics a Kentucky CCDW course?
No. The Basics — Handgun is not a CCDW course, though we do recommend taking it before you take the KyCCDW. Both of our instructors are certified to teach the Kentucky CCDW course, and our Ky CCDW course is on the schedule — book it like any other class.
Kentucky is constitutional carry. Why bother with the license?
It is still highly recommended. It is good, informative training; it is necessary for reciprocity in other states that recognize Kentucky's license; and it tends to make purchasing a firearm easier.
Is there a range fee on top of tuition?
At our main range, Ky Regulators Gun Club in Boaz, there is a $20 cash fee due on arrival for non-members. We occasionally hold classes at other locations; any additional fees are named in that course's description. A range fee covers the entire day, so if you take more than one course in a day at the same range, you pay it once.
Do I need The Basics before Beyond the Basics?
Yes — our The Basics — Handgun (previously The Basics Part 1), or an equivalent course from a reputable instructor. Contact us if you are unsure whether yours counts.
What is your refund policy?
No refunds once a purchase is complete — but we understand emergencies occur, so please reach out. Communication is key. If we cancel or reschedule, you get a full refund to your original payment method, or a voucher toward another course.
