1The briefing
This course is for the new rifle owner or perhaps for someone who is looking for a refresher. This course will focus on the BASICS. The main focus of this course is SAFETY and proper handling and operation of your rifle. Safety is our number one priority so in order to participate in this course, you must be willing to take strict directions from the instructors. With that being said, this course has a hard cap of 8 participants. If it is full, you can request to be put on the waiting list.
Here is what you will learn:
- The rules of safe firearm handling and how to apply them
- How a rifle works
- Shooting fundamentals
- Loading and unloading/clearing a rifle
- Equipment information (slings, ammunition)
- Live fire exercise
We DO NOT recommend purchasing a firearm SOLELY to take this course. But if you already have one you want to practice with that is fine. Otherwise we recommend using our equipment rental to get a better idea before spending that kind of money.
Ear and eye protection is available for all students and it is not necessary to reserve in advance. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure time for sign-in and waivers. You MUST arrive with your firearms UNLOADED. Equipment will be inspected upon arrival.
